SynchroTeq
SynchroTeq™ is a Controlled Switching Device (CSD) for high and medium voltage circuit breakers. It is a manufacturer agnostic solution applicable to either new or existing single pole or three-pole operated circuit breakers.
SynchroTeq™ eliminates stress and disturbances, thus improving the stability and reliability of T&D electric systems. Also known as the ultimate inrush current limiter, SynchroTeq™ ensures hassle-free energization of MV and HV power transformers. Thanks to its fast switching and remote management capabilities, SynchroTeq™ improves power quality, extends lifespan of costly equipment and minimizes system downtime.
Phasor Measuement Unit (PMU)
The VIZIMAX Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) is a platform for reading phasor data (currents, voltages, direct sequence and frequency information) from high and medium voltage systems, distribution systems, renewable energy and energy storage facilities. The VIZIMAX PMU stands out from existing devices as it is dedicated to both monitoring and advanced control of power systems’ functions. Its unique adaptive algorithms provide robust measurements of spectral contents, adaptive filtering and a 10% to 20% speed improvement when compared to traditional DFT algorithms.
VIZIMAX’s advanced PMU not only measures the magnitude, frequency and phasors but also allows for advanced power system monitoring, protection and control. It offers real-time access to remote analog data, providing situation awareness and improves the reliability on the control actions, reducing uncertainty in the decision-making.
Analog Merging Unit (AMU)
The VIZIMAX Analog Merging Unit (AMU) acquires AC currents and voltages from conventional current and voltage transformers (CTs and PTs). It converts these analog signals into digital values and transmits them using the IEC 61850 standard to an Ethernet LAN using different possible Ethernet connections.
The data is published in the form of Sampled Values (SV) that comply with IEC 61850-9-2 and upcoming IEC 61869-9. This data can be used directly by bay controllers and protection relays that support this protocol. This unit is also compatible with the 61869-9 norms and can output both results at the same time.
The AMU is well suited for rehabilitation of existing conventional installations into an IEC 61850 compliant architecture, providing a second life to the switchyard equipment.
