RECTIFIER TRANSFORMERS

The Rectifier transformer is connected to the input end of the rectifier and steps down the line voltage to the value required for connection to the rectifier.
Main characteristics of the Transformers for traction substations usually supplied are:
• Single or double secondary connection as specified by the EN/ANSI standards.• Power from 1MVA for Trolley busses, Monorails and Trams up to 7,5MVA for heavy Subways and Railways.• Primary Voltage up to 36kV.• Dry type, Epoxy Cast Resin fulfilling also special requirements concerning fire protection, smoke emission and safety.• Up to Duty Class VII.• Modern and efficient design to guarantee a long life expectancy and an ideal efficiency.
